Today is Friday, the 29 day in the month of February. It is marks as the leap day, which added in February for every four years. Can you imagined, how often someone who was born or had their wedding on the 29 of February celebrated their special day? It makes me wonder how and where do the leap day come from. As for myself, I consider today as a very special day even though there is nothing special happen to me on this particular date. Hey...how often can 29 February appeared in your calendar? For those who are celebrating their birthday or anniversary or anything special today I just want to wish Happy Leap Day!! May today be your special day ever.....

Sleeping Disorder

This is the second night in a row that I woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning. I don't even know why. I hate it when I have problems with sleeping at night becoz I will feel sleepy and get tired in the morning so easily and as a mother of two little super active kids lack of sleep is definitely not a good thing. It will effects my day badly. Going to send my eldest daughter to the parents house tomorrow for a month. Yupp..a month!! I know I will miss her like crazy but I have to because I can't afford to send both of them to the day care center yet. My hubby & I will be going to check on the day care this Thursday for the little one and we still can't find a new place to move in yet. Man...time is running so fast this days. Still has lots of things need to be done and I have a pile of laundry that need my attention, badly!!! Need a good motivation for myself to get things started...:-(

Finally....

Alhamdulillah!!! The moment that I have been waiting for has finally arrive! This morning I'd received a call from Maxcell Institue (the one that I went to interview for last Tuesday), guess what? They agreed to take me in! I'm hired as their new Administration Executive and I'll be starting on the 3rd of March. Now I have lots of preparation to do. Need to find a place for my kids and did I mention that we need to move out by the end of the week? And we haven't find a new place yet. And I haven't pack anything yet. And the parents are coming tomorrow. My oh my....it is definitely gonna be a hectic week for me. I'm better be off by now. Tons of work need to be done here!!!

Hope For The Best

The interview goes very well today. I manage to answer all the questions calmly & .....Now I just have to wait for the result in another one week. I just hope for the best & hopefully the best will eventually come!

Interview

Today I had received an email and guess what?? I have an interview to attend tomorrow. Finally, yaay!! The interview is with a local college here in Miri as an Admin Executive. Tonite I will prepare myself for tomorrow and yes I'm a little bit nervous. This is my third interview since last year. Wish myself a very good luck & please wish me luck to! Will post about the interview again tomorrow.

Potty Training

My hubby & I decided that we should start potty training our youngest daughter as soon as possible. She is now 2 years & 2 months old. Her sister had started her potty training when she was about her age but its kind of difficult to do it with her little sister. We had tried to train her before but she just simply peed everywhere around the house without telling so tonite I had searched for some tips & I found this web site - www.parenting.org. I think the tips that are given from this site may help me out a bit. Below are the tips that we can follow:

• Wait until your child is at least 2 years old
• Frequently allow your child to watch you go to the bathroom
• Make sure both you and your child are ready
• Let your child practice on a potty chair, with clothes on
• Prompt your child – tell, don’t ask
• Postpone toilet training for a few weeks if it isn't going well or if you are getting tense about it
• Expect accidents
• If your child has a lot of accidents or if you must use intensive toilet training, ask your health care provider for the guidelines on positive practice
• Praise your child every time he or she does any part of toileting behavior correctly

This tips might be useful for you too & if you have any other ideas on how to potty train a toddler do share it with me. Thanks!

Blood & Glucose Test

This morning I went to the hospital for my gynae appointment. I went for a blood & glucose test. I'm not sure what is the blood test for but the glucose test is to make sure I don't have diabetes.The test is called MOGTT. I had to fast this morning for the test. After they took my blood, they ask me to drink 200ml of water+sugar. It was too sweet that I nearly throw up in front of the nurse. After that I have to wait for another 2 hours before they can check on the glucose level again. I was nervous when the result came out. The number showed on the tester kit was 5.8. It means I do not have diabetes. It is in the normal range. Thank Allah for that! Now I just have to wait for the blood test result & my next appointment next week. Hopefully everything will be fine.

My prediction about the final 3 for the Amazing Race Asia is rite. I'm so excited when the Chong Sisters got in 3rd place last nite. Way to go girls!! You girls are awesome. I also got a tip on how to add another column to my blog & I did it..yaaay!! For me blogging is not just another way for me to express myself but it is also a good way for me to open up my mind. Bad Connection

The internet connection was very bad tonite. It took me a lot of time just to load up the Google page. I cant figure out why the connection was so bad. I'm bored, I got nothing to do. Help me!!!

Laksa Sarawak

Here I would like to share another recipe of my all time favorite food call Laksa Sarawak. It is basically a noodle base food & it is one of the famous food among the Sarawakian. I had tried making it myself once & the outcome is not really bad. It taste quite nice. So here are the recipe & hope you enjoy the taste of it.


LAKSA SARAWAK

Ingredients:

• Laksa paste (350g)
• Chicken stock (2 litres)
• Thick coconut milk (250ml)
• Vermicelli noodles (400g)
• Beansprouts - Blanched (50g)
• Chicken breast - Cooked and shredded
  
• 5 large prawns - Cooked and shelled
• 2 eggs - Made into omelette & shredded
  
• 2 stalks coriander - Chopped
  
• Limes - Halved (1 lime per serving)
  

Methods:

• Boil the laksa paste in the chicken stock for about 15 minutes and then strain into a pot
  
• Add the coconut milk and stir until well mixed
• Season to taste with salt and sugar
• Blanch the dried vermicelli with hot water to soften
• Place noodles in a bowl and add the chicken & prawns on top
• Ladle hot laksa gravy over
• Garnish with the shredded omelette, coriander & lime halves

The only thing missing in this recipe is the sambal. Basically the sambal is made from belacan (shrimp paste) but I'm not really good in making one. If anyone had the recipe on how to make a sambal for the laksa do share it with me.

White Sauce

Tonite I decided to cook spaghetti for dinner so we went out to buy some food supplies. When we got there I was about to grab the usual sauce when my hubby suddenly said why don't we try something new & we agreed to try on the cheese & mushroom sauce. When we got home, I went straight to the kitchen & prepared all the ingredients. Then I ask my hubby to cook the sauce becoz my favorite show was on at the moment. He then suddenly came out of the kitchen & ask me "is this ok with you?". It was a white sauce & I do have problem with any white sauces (I don't know why). So thats it!! End of story...I will not eat anything that had white sauces in it. I told my hubby that next time don't bother to try something that we dont familiar with, just stick to the usual thing. I was piss off because I was so damn hungry & I end up eating fried egg with rice instead!!!

Good Food

I'm a food lover. I love to eat good food so I decided to share some of my favorite recipe wit u guys. For the first recipe is my mum's yummy 'Puding Susu' (Milk Pudding). It is a very simple pudding but heavenly delicious!! Here is how you make it. (Will upload the picture later)

PUDING SUSU

Ingredients:

• 2 cans of evaporated milk
• 8 eggs
• 10 tablespoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
• 2 teaspoon Apple Green color

Methods:

• Mix all the ingredients with a mixer and steamed it with a steamer for about 1 hour
• Let it cold before u put it in a fridge
  

Calling Dr. Grey

The new cast of Grey's Anatomy Season 4

Last weekend me & my hubby watch the marathon series of Grey's Anatomy season 4. It was better (much2 better) & hilarious than the previous seasons. As far as I know it has not been aired it Malaysia yet. So let me tell you a little bit about the latest season. We'll start with the main character of course Ms. Meredith Grey. Mer & Derek finally broke up but still having sex together which they call the 'breakup sex'. She then met her half sister, Lexie Grey which is also a new intern in SGH. In this season she is struggling wit her feeling towards McDreamy. Well...she always been like that!! Christina who was left by Burke on her wedding day still act like she is tough enough to forget wat had happened to her and guys... Burke is no longer a member of SGH (so was Addison). He just left the hospital without telling anything to Christina. O'Malley & Izzie thought that they have the chemistry between them and think they're madly in love but than they realize that it is not the right time for them to be together. Did I mentioned he & Callie got divorce? Yup guys..they did!! Alex is still Alex. The only interest he has on is surgery & sex. Bailey is now the new head resident (Callie got fired by the Chief) & because of her dedication to her work it cause her a hard time in her marriage. Sloan@McSteamy & Derek are now back to the friend term. The chief also got divorce and now he is living next to Derek in a trailer!! Poor Chief!! I guess thats about it. I cant revealed too much bout it coz it may ruined the excitement when u get the chance to watch it. All I can say is 2 thumbs up for the series. It is the best television show ever. Love it..love it...love it!!!

CV & Movie

Tonite I'm sending out job applications via online. Its about time for me to get a job & my goal is to have a job before I turn 28. And also tonite we're going to watch a whole bunch of DVDs that we borrowed from my hubby collegue. We got some old & new movies to be watch. He even lend us the 'GODFATHER'!! This is going to be fun fun fun.....LOL!!

The Race Is Still On...

I'm currently hooked up wit the Amazing Race Asia series (season 2). Last nite it was the thai girls turn to be eliminated. They're one of the team that I expected to be in the final 3. My fav team for this season of course the Chong Sisters. Man..they're tough but sometimes the sisters get panic so easily especially Vanessa. As for the boys team - Marc + Rovilson & Adrian + Collin, both of the teams are smart and I can say very2 lucky. My prediction for the final 3 are - Marc+Rovilson, Adrian+Collin, Vanessa+Pamela.Cant wait to watch the upcoming episode next week & I just hope that my prediction is rite!!!
